Separate Payslips
1. How can I set up 'Separate Payslips' in my payroll company?
The Separate Payslips function should be setup at the start of your pay period, after you have updated all your payroll definition changes.
There are a few articles available on the Sage Knowledgebase to guide you with the setup, however we strongly recommend contacting your Sage Accredited Business Partner who will assist wit the setup and provide training on the feature.

2. When I try to print my payslips, I get a warning that there are differences on my Separate Payslips. How can I resolve this?
The Separate Payslip function allows you to split the values on your main payslip into up to 7 different payslips - these values all have to add up, otherwise it may result in differences.
Cases of these differences could be related to the way the function is setup, if payslips were 'frozen' when input was done, or changes were made after all payslips were 'frozen'.
The Separate Payslip Validation report will assist you to identify records where differences were identified.

Start New Period
3. I am unable to start a new processing month. Why do I receive the warning message "The number of weeks left in the tax year is not sufficient"?
The error message appears when you are performing a Start New Period from December to January in a weekly or bi-weekly company.
The system checks the current processing period number in the tax year against the remaining periods, and if the transaction year will end on the correct 'tax year-end date'.
Sometimes discrepancies arise when administrators amend the company dates during the tax year, or new company setups were done. To assist you to prepare for your year-end, the need to validate the company dates before entering January.

Sage Portal
4. How do I add or remove users to the Sage Portal?
It is important to regularly maintain the access of your users to the information of your company on the Sage Portal. Each company can have on Admin (Default) user, who is responsible to maintain the details of the users who have access to contact Sage Customer Support.

NOTE: The Sage Portal users are not linked to your payroll users on Payroll Professional.
5. How do I log a query to Customer Support on the Sage Portal?
We have made it easier for our customers to log and view queries on the Sage Portal.
When you log in, click Support > Log a Query, and you will have access to log a query to the support teams for the specific product you use.
Once you have submitted your query, you will receive a unique case reference to track your query.
You can also review and follow up on the status of existing queries under Support > View my Queries
