Move Sage 50cloud Pastel to a new PC (single and multi-user)

How to install and move Sage 50cloud Pastel to a new computer for single-user, multi-user server, and workstation setups.

Single-user setup

1. Install Sage 50cloud Pastel on the new PC.
   • See Installing Partner as a single-user or Installing Xpress as a single-user.
2. Register the software.
   • See Registering as a single user.
3. On the old PC, open the PastelXX or XpressXX folder.
   • Example: Pastel19 or Xpress19, where XX is your software version.
4. Copy your company folders to a flash drive or removable storage.
5. On the new PC, open the PastelXX or XpressXX folder.
6. Paste the copied company folders into this directory.
7. Add the companies on the new PC.
   • See Adding and activating companies or Restoring a backup.

Multi-user server setup

1. Install Sage 50cloud Pastel on the new server PC.
   • See Installing Partner on the server or Installing Xpress on the server.
2. Register the software.
   • See Registering the server.
3. On the old server, open the PastelXX or XpressXX folder.
4. Copy your company folders to a flash drive or removable storage.
5. On the new server, open the PastelXX or XpressXX folder.
6. Paste the copied company folders into this folder.
7. Add the companies on the new server.
   • See Adding and activating companies or Restoring a backup.
8. Share the PastelXX or XpressXX folder for network use.
   • See Sharing a folder.

Multi-user workstation setup

1. Install Sage 50cloud Pastel on the new workstation PC.
   • See Installing Partner on a workstation or Installing Xpress on a workstation.
2. Register the software.
   • See Registering as a workstation.
3. Map a network drive from the workstation to the shared folder on the server.

4. Add the companies on the workstation.
