| Description | You'll need to map a drive to the Pastel/Xpress folder on Server so that the workstations have access to the registration and company datasets. |
| Resolution | | Ensure that you've shared the Pastel/Xpress folder on the server. Refer to the article Sharing a folder for guidance. - Open Control Panel.
- Select Network and Sharing Centre.
- Select Change advanced sharing settings.
- Under Private networks, turn Network discovery on.
- Under Private networks, turn File and printer sharing on.
- Under Guest or Public networks, turn Network discovery on.
- Under Guest or Public networks, turn File and printer sharing on.
- Under All networks, turn Public folder sharing on.
- Under All networks, turn Password protected sharing off.
- Save your changes.
Map a network drive - Hold the Windows key + E then select This PC.
- Right-click Network and click Map Network Drive.
- Choose a drive letter, then click Browse.
- Select the machine name where you registered Sage 50cloud Pastel as the server.
- Sage 50cloud uses the computer name and not the IP address
- Select the Pastelxx\Xpressxx Folder, where xx represents the version of Sage 50cloud Pastel you're running.
- Ensure you select the option Reconnect at Sign-in (or Log on).
- Click Finish.
- Test access to the mapped drive.
- Restart your computer if the issue continues.
- Test access again.
- Contact IT support if the issue still continues.
