Summary

Steps to reset active user sessions on Sage Payroll Professional. This closes any active sessions on the live payroll, tax year-end or backup instances.

Description

Resetting user sessions close any active session, and as a result lose any unsaved processing.

This feature resolves the following errors:

  • 'Status 93'
  • 'Status 99'
  • 'Another user is currently accessing Employee xx. Please select another employee'

Resolution

Reset users for live payroll instance

  1. On the Active Payroll Subscription screen, click 'More actions'.
  2. Select Reset Users.
  3. Click Reset.
     

Reset users on Tax Year End instance

  1. On the Active Payroll Subscription screen, click 'More actions'.
  2. Select Tax Year End Management.
  3. Locate the specific tax year and month.
  4. Click 'More actions'.
  5. Select Reset Users.
  6. Click Reset.
 

Reset users on backup instance

  1. Retrieve your backup: How to retrieve a backup.
  2. Click the company name under Retrieved backups.
  3. Select Reset Users.
  4. Click Reset.
