Multi Stores add-on module overview

Got inventory in more than one place? The Multi Stores add-on lets you manage it all from one Sage 50cloud Pastel company. Set up as many as 999 stores, and stock each one with as many items as you need.

Stores and inventory items

1. Each inventory item lives in one or more stores. You choose the stores when you create the item.
2. You can use the same item code in different stores. Sage 50cloud Pastel treats is as the same, but each store has its own values for:
   • Quantities
   • Cost price
   • Selling prices
   • All fields on the Reorder tab
3. Existing inventory items go into the default store when you activate Multi-Store.

Selling prices across stores

Copy selling prices from one store to another, per item or per store. This lets you:

• Set the same prices in every store
• Set different prices in each store
• Set the same prices in some stores and different in others

Customers, suppliers, and users

• Customers and suppliers exist for the whole company. You can't link them to specific stores.
• You can link Users to one or more stores, and block them from other stores. See Create and set user permissions in Sage 50cloud Pastel.

Daily use

Multi Stores works almost like normal inventory. There's just one difference: you also choose the store when you access an inventory item. If you link a user to only one store, Sage 50cloud Pastel sets the store for them automatically.

Stores or warehouses

Got branches in different cities, or a warehouse across town? Give each location its own store. Stock the same items in every store, and shift quantities between them whenever you need to.

Manufacturing

Keep raw materials in a separate store so operators don't sell them by mistake. This also keeps the sales store smaller and faster to search. You can also create a further store for work-in-progress items.

Consignment and sales rep tracking

Create a store for inventory given to a customer on consignment. Create a store for each sales rep who takes samples or stock on the road. This makes tracking and control straightforward.
