Use the Link Inventory Items Assistant when: - You create a new store and want to link existing items to it
- You activate Multi Stores on a company that already has inventory
- You want to copy selling prices between stores
Rules for unlinking items You can unlink an item from a store only if it: - Belongs to another store
- Has no transaction history
- Has no quantity on hand
- Isn't part of a batch or a bill of materials
Run the Link Inventory Items Assistant -
Take a current backup of your company data. -
Go to Edit > Inventory > Stores. -
Open the store record you want to link items to. -
Select Link Inventory. The Link Inventory Items Assistant opens. -
Select Next. -
On the Choose Operation screen, pick one of: - All items in the store — leave the fields as they’re
- A range of inventory items — choose the Inventory Item option, then set the range
- A range of inventory categories — choose the Inventory Category option, then set the range

Select Next. -
Sage 50cloud Pastel shows you which items you can link and unlink (based on the rules above). Select Next to continue. -
Choose which items or categories to link or unlink: - Link to an item or category: select its checkbox in the Link column. You can also press Spacebar to toggle the checkbox
- Link everything in the list: select Link All (for items) or All On (for categories)
- Unlink everything in the list: select Delink All (for items). Delink by category isn't available

Select Next. -
On the Copy Selling Prices screen, choose whether to copy selling prices from another store. Sage 50cloud Pastel stores selling prices per store, not per item. Each store keeps its own prices. If the items exist in the destination store, Sage 50cloud Pastel copies the prices into that store. -
Select Next. -
On the Confirm Operation screen, select Process to apply the changes, or Cancel to exit without changes. Copy selling prices between stores Two ways to do this: - Using the Link Inventory Items Assistant — see step 11 above. This copies prices for a range of items.
- From the Inventory Items screen — go to the Prices tab. This copies the prices for a single item.
Use whichever fits the scope of your change. |
