How to download a software update from the Sage Portal

New software updates help keep your payroll taxes up to date and come with the latest features. You can download and install the update when it’s available.

Log in to the Sage Portal

1. Go to the Sage Portal login page.
2. Enter your login credentials.
3. If this is your first time logging in, reset your password.

Select your payroll product

1. Select Product Updates from the main menu.

2. Choose your payroll product from the drop-down list.

Choose and review the software update

1. Select the software version you want to install.

    

 NOTE: The most recent version appears at the top. 

2. Review the system and install prerequisites shown on screen.
3. Download and read the Installation Notes.
4. Download and read the Release Notes.

Download and install the update

1. Select the installation file based on your operating system:
   • The 32-bit installation file is compatible with 32 and 64-bit operating systems 
   • The 64-bit installation file is compatible with 64-bit operating systems only 
2. Download the software update installer.
3. Ensure you meet all prerequisites before installing the update.
4. Follow the instruction on the Installation Notes to complete the install process.

 TIP: All version-specific patch, tax and report/bank files per release are now available per release.
