Director not appearing on Occupational Injuries and Diseases (OID) report

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

What to check when a company director doesn't appear on the Occupational Injuries and Diseases (OID) report. This article relates to Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier.

Description

When printing the OID report (Real Number 502), the director isn't reflecting on the report as expected. The report split the details of directors from the standard employees. Review and correct the employee's tax status if necessary.

Cause

For the directors to appear separately on the OID Report you'll need to change the employee's tax status to one of the following:

  • PAYE (Director)
  • Temporary (Director)
  • Directive (Director)

Resolution

  1. Access your South African payroll company from the Company Listing screen.
  2. From the Main Menu, go to Employee.
  3. Choose Change Employee.
  4. Select the employee from the list and click Continue.
  5. Click Statutory Details tab.
  6. Verify and correct the Tax Status.

    TIP:

Changing the employee's tax status forces a tax recalculation. We recommend that you print the detailed EMP201 report before making any changes. This assists with reconciling the employee's record if tax changes.

  7. Click Save & Close to save changes.
  8. Click Cancel to return to the Main Menu.
