Upload payroll company data to Sage Payroll Professional

When migrating from Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier, you can upload company data to Sage Payroll Professional. This ensures continuity by using the same data in the cloud.

Prepare for upload

• Confirm the desktop payroll version matches the Sage Payroll Professional version: Latest software release version
• Ensure the Site Code is the same on both systems
• If a company with the same number exists in your subscription, copy it to a new number to avoid overwriting

 Upload payroll data

1. Go to Sage Payroll Professional.
2. Log in with your Sage account details.
3. On the Active Payroll Subscription screen, select More actions.
4. Select Upload Payroll Data.
5. Click Browse to Destop Folder.
6. Select the local payroll data folder containing the company data.
7. Click Upload to continue.
8. View the onscreen message then click Upload.
9. Review the list of available companies found in the folder.
10. Select the companies to upload and click Upload.
11. Once complete, click close to return to the Active Payroll Subscription screen.
12. Click Launch to access your payroll.
13. Set up Access Control to link companies to users.
