How to retrieve a company backup

Steps retrieve a backup from the archive on Sage Payroll Professional. This function allows you to view the archived company data.

Description

The system allows you to retrieve backups to view the payroll at the point we archived the company data. You have the following options available when you retrieve the backup:

  • Close the backup after reviewing the information
  • Change the payroll data and replace the backup with the changes
  • Copy the backup data to the live instance, replacing the active payroll

Resolution

Log in to the application

  1. Go to Sage Payroll Professional.
  2. Click Log in.

Retrieve the backup

  1. On the Active Payroll Subscription screen, locate your Site Code.
  2. Click 'More actions'.
  3. Select Retrieve Backup.

 NOTE: You'll have this option available if you haven't retrieved a backup already. 

  1. On the Retrieve Backup screen, select the company.
  2. A list of all available backups display.
  3. Locate the backup you need, and click Retrieve under Actions.
  4. You'll return to the Active Payroll Subscription screen.
  5. Under Retrieved Backups, click the backup name.
  6. Select Launch to access the backup.
