New software updates help keep your payroll taxes up to date and come with the latest features. You can download and install the update when it’s available.

1. Open your internet browser.
2. Go to the Sage Portal webpage.
3. Enter your login credentials.
   If this is your first time logging in, reset your password.
4. Select Product Updates from the main menu.
   
5. Choose your payroll product from the dropdown list.
6. Select the software version you want to install.
   

   You'll see the most recent version appears at the top of the software list. 
   Review the prerequisite version details to select the correct update.

   
   
   TIP:

   If you're on an older version, you'll have to install older versions of the software. Only then you can update to the latest version.

7. Download and read the Installation Notes.
8. Download and read the Release Notes.
9. Select the installation file to download based on your operating system:
   • The 32-bit installation file is compatible with 32 and 64-bit operating systems 
   • The 64-bit installation file is compatible with 64-bit operating systems only 
10. Download the software update installer.
11. Ensure you meet all prerequisites before installing the update.
12. Follow the instruction on the Installation Notes to complete the install process.
