Please re-enter your login details. If the problem persists, please contact your banking institution for further assistance (Error 402)”. Reasons - If your PC, laptop or iPad settings are blocking cookies from other websites, including Sage.
- If the bank feed can’t link to your online bank account, as it doesn’t recognise your password or security information.

SolutionCome back and try again in a day or two. Something has changed with the link to your bank and it's going to take a bit of time to get things working smoothly again.
Error code 406ReasonYou tried to download transactions but your online banking password or security information has expired. This error could also occur if a bank amends if a bank amends its terms and conditions and you have to accept them before you can have access. “The internet banking password has expired or your bank has updated its terms and conditions. Please update your password with your banking institution, then update your Login Details in Accounting by clicking on Banking…Transactions…Manage Bank Feeds and then select Update Login Details (Error 406).” Solution - Log in to your online banking service to confirm that your password and security information is correct and that you’ve entered the same information in Sage Accounting.
- Log into your online banking service to check that there are no outstanding changes to the terms and conditions that you must accept, including outstanding messages.
- Check that the details you have entered on the on the on the Manage Bank Feeds screen are now correct.
Error code 407
ReasonWe could not update your account because it appears that the account has been locked, or your online banking service provider may be doing some website maintenance. “Your account is locked. This may be because of too many failed login attempts. Please contact your banking institution and if your account credentials change, please go to Banking…Transactions…Manage Bank Feeds and then click on Update Login Details (Error 407).” SolutionThis is usually the result of too many unsuccessful login attempts in a short period of time. - Try to log into your online banking website to confirm it’s available.
- If your account is locked, please contact your bank and follow their procedures for unlocking your account, then try to set up your bank feed again.
Error code 408
ReasonWe could not find any accounts for you at the bank's site. “We're sorry, we couldn't find any accounts for you at your bank. Please log into your internet banking and confirm that your account is set up, then try again (Error 408).” SolutionWe usually see this error if you've just changed banks or opened for business. - Please log in at the bank's site and confirm that your account is set up, try to set up your bank feed again.
Error code 409
ReasonYour internet banking website appears to be unavailable. “Your internet banking site appears to be unavailable. Confirm that you can access your internet banking site from the bank website and then try again (Error 409).” Solution - Try to log into your online banking website to confirm it’s available.
- If your account is locked, please contact your bank and follow their procedures for unlocking your account, then retry the bank feed.
