Install Sage Pastel Point of Sale with SQL

Need to add additional users or companies to Sage 50cloud Pastel

Download Sage Pastel POS

  1. Go to Sage Pastel Updates.
  2. Select Module and Additional Applications.
  3. Under your version, select Sage Pastel Point of Sale – Microsoft SQL 2014.
  4. Click Download and save the file.

Install POS on a server or standalone machine

  1. Confirm that you've already installed SQL Server.
  2. Double-click Sage50cPastel_POS_SQLSetup[5.0.0].exe.
  3. When the InstallShield Wizard launches, click Next.
  4. Accept the Licence Agreement and click Next.
  5. Select Server/Standalone and click Next.
  6. For Select Database Server, choose (local) PASTELPOS.
  7. Set Connect using to Server Authentication.
    • Login ID: sa
    • Password: Pointofsale@123 or the password you set when installing SQL
  8. Click Next, then Next again.
  9. Click Install, then Finish once complete.

Install POS on a workstation

NOTE:

 Don’t install SQL on the workstation.

  1. Double-click Sage50cPastel_POS_SQLSetup[5.0.0].exe.
  2. When the InstallShield Wizard launches, click Next.
  3. Accept the Licence Agreement and click Next.
  4. Select Workstation and click Next.
  5. Click Next again, then Install.
  6. When finished, click Finish.

Configure POS SQL

  1. Open POS and click File > Open.
  2. Select the drive where you locate your companies.
    • On workstations, select the network drive.
  3. Double-click the company folder.
  4. Enter your company password.
  5. Set the SQL Server to the machine where you installed SQL.
  6. Enter the SQL login details:
    • Login ID: sa
    • Password: Pointofsale@123 or the password you set when installing SQL
  7. Click Open to complete the setup.
