Sage uses special security tokens to confirm who you are and give you access to its services. These tokens help keep your data safe when using Sage apps.

Resolution

Refresh Sage ID token pop up

If this message keeps coming up, you'll need to download the Sage Account Troubleshooting tool.

Download the tool

  1. Log on to the Download manager then select Patch Update/Previous versions.
  2. Locate Sage Account Troubleshooting tool and click Download.
    The file saves on the Downloads folder.
  3. Extract the contents of the zip file to the payroll folder.
    The zip file contains two files.

Install the tool

  • Right-click on the SageAccountTroubleshoot.exe file then select Run as Administrator
    Alternatively, you use the Run command to open the file.

    TIP:

    Running the tool from a non-payroll folder results in a blank screen or errors.

Access Company Database

  • Under Database, click Get Companies
  • Select your company from the dropdown

Renew Sage Token

  • Under Login, select Database then click sageloginEXE
  • Click OK when prompted and enter your email and password
  • Click No when asked to view the log
