Namibia Social Security (SSC) limit increase changes effective March 2025

Steps to change the Namibia Social Security (SSC) limits effective March 2025 on Sage Payroll Professional.

The Social Security Commission announced amendments to the Employment Compensation Act and Social Security Act, effective March 2025.

• The minimum wage ceiling increased from N$300 to N$500 per month
• The maximum wage ceiling increased from N$9000 to N$11000 per month
• The contribution rate for both the employee and employer remains unchanged at 0.9% of the employee’s basic wage

1. From the Main menu, select Company, then Basic Company Information.
2. Click the entry field for the SSC Month Earn. Lower Limit.
3. Change the value from 300.00 to 500.00.
4. When you click Enter, the systems prompt you to recalculate – select Yes.
5. Click the entry field for the SSC Month Earn. Upper Limit.
6. Change the value from 9000.00 to 11000.00.
7. When you click Enter, the systems prompt you to recalculate – select Yes.
8. The system will apply the new limits to calculate the SSC values for all eligible employees.

 NOTE: From Release 6.4a, the limits will automatically update when you click the entry fields.
