Unable to change termination date to previous tax year

You can't change a termination date to a date before the tax year start in Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier. The system enforces statutory rules from revenue authorities.

You record a termination date as the employee’s final working day.

The system uses this date to complete tax and statutory calculations for the correct tax year.

The system blocks termination dates that fall before the current tax year start because revenue authorities don’t allow certificates to reflect a termination date prior to that year.
