How to upload Employee Content on Web Self Service

How to configure content category types in Sage 300 People so employees can view documents in Web Self-Service(ESS).

Description

Show Content in ESS option controls which documents appear in Self Service. Employee documents are shown under My Documents, company documents under Company Documents, and both under both menus. Link all employee content transactions to a content sensitivity, or they won't display. 

Resolution

  1. From the Navigation pane, expand Parameters.
  2. Expand Content.
  3. Double-click Content Category Type.
  4. Select the Show Content in ESS option for the relevant category type.

    NOTE:

    You can add content via the Navigation panel or Employee/Personnel Management. Certain content types (for example, Affiliation, Qualification, Training) don't display in Self Service. 

     
  5. Log in to Web Self Service.
  6. Select My Documents to view documents linked to the user.

    NOTE:

    • Categorise documents by content category type
    • Users can download documents but can't preview them
    • You can't use Impersonation
