How to export income tax numbers via SARS e@syFile
- Log in to your SARS e@syFile application. Check the database for your previous PAYE reconciliation submission details.
- Click On Synchronise Application. (This option will synchronise your SARS e@syFile with eFiling).
- Enter your eFiling User Name and Password and click Login.
- Select eFiling Profile and Employer Information, and then click Sync.
- When the "Synchronisation complete" message appears, click OK.
- Click Synchronise Application for a second time.
- Enter your eFiling User Name and Password and click Login.
- Select Taxpayer Income Tax Registrations, and then click Sync.
- When the "Synchronisation complete" message appears, click OK.
- View the registration details in the Notification Centre. Click Notification Centre on the left-hand pane of SARS e@syFile.
- Click Import / Export Payroll File on the left-hand Pane of SARS e@syFile to generate the file.
- Select Export Payroll file.
- Select the applicable Company from the dropdown menu and click Export.
- Choose where to store the file.
- The File name will start with the Company PAYE registration number, the date, and the time of the file's creation—for example, 7123457777_20230310_14h21_EXPORT.
How to import tax numbers into your payroll application
- Click File; Import / Export.
- Click the dropdown under selection.
- Select the Import e@syfile tax numbers option.
- Click the Browse button and search for the SARS file.
- The file name will start with the Company PAYE number, followed by a date and time—for example, 7123457777_20230310_14h21_EXPORT.
- Click Process.
