NOTE: The Premier Hosting End of Service does not refer to the product Sage VIP Premier, but the hosting service by Sage for customers.
Q: Why did Sage decide to end the service for the Premier Hosted environment?
A: We want to retain and grow our customer base by offering customers the latest technology and superior services that help them accelerate their move to the cloud.
Q: How long will I have to before I need to move?
A:You must preferably move before 31 July 2022. The service will be shut down on 30 September 2022.
Q: Who will inform me on the process to follow?
A:Your certified business partner together with Sage Sales colleague will contact you to discuss the best possible solution for your business.

Q: Will I have to sign a new agreement with Sage?
A: Yes, you will have to sign a new agreement.
Q: What if I need more time to transition?
A: Communication will be sent well in advance to inform you of the planned end date of our hosted service offering on Premier which will allow you time to consider the required change.
The following options are available:
- Migration to SBCPP which would be relatively fast
- Migration back to Premier desktop
- Migration to Sage 300 People MCS which should be planned well in advance due to entire system change.
- Moving to third-party infrastructure – list to be obtained from ASM’s and PRM’s
Q: What are the costs involved for the migration?
A: Renewal fees already paid for the year, will be taken into consideration in the quotation for the chosen migration Sage product.
Your Account Sales Manager will be able to assist with exact details.
If you however choose to move over to a third-party infrastructure, then it would need to be discussed with that relevant party.
Q: Who will help me to get up and running on the new product?
A:Your certified business partner is responsible for migrating your information over to the alternative product/service offering.
The following options are available:
- Migrating to SBCPP which would be relatively fast
- Migrating back to Premier desktop – no cloud access
- Migrating to Sage 300 People MCS which should be planned well in advance due to entire system change.
- Moving to third-party infrastructure – list to be obtained from your Account Sales Manager at Sage.
Q: Will there still be support assistance on the new/migrated product?
A: Yes. Support will still form part of your contract as it is currently in place.
Q: Can I buy additional sites or users or even employees for the product now, before the end-of-service date?
A: You can buy additional users or employees, but additional sites will have to be on one of the alternative products.
Q: Can I still purchase the existing Premier Hosted offering?
A: No, the sale of products for this service ended in March 2021
Q: My contract is an annual contract that will expire end of February 2021. Can I renew it?
A: No. Renewal cannot be done beyond the end-of-service date. (2022/09/30)
Q: What if I have built integrations with the product or is using an ISV product/integration?
A: Your Account Sales Manager would be in contact to understand all ISV or custom integrations to ensure you are provided with the best possible solution.
Q: I currently interface with a Clock card system. Can I continue using it?
A: If you migrate to Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional or to Premier on-premise, you can still use the same clock card system, without making any changes.
If you consider moving to Sage 300 People, the Sage services team can be asked to review the information used in the integrations to determine if Sage 300 People can deliver the same functionality.
Q: I am currently making use of Infoslips, can I continue to use it?
A: Yes, you can continue using InfoSlips
Q: Where does I start if I made my decision and want to migrate?
A: Please send an email to sales ([email protected]) and ask for a quote. The sales team will then kick-off the process.
Q: What is the difference between Sage 300 People and Sage 300 People MCS?
A: Sage 300 People is the desktop application, while Sage 300 People MCS is the cloud deployment of Sage 300 People. Sage 300 People MCS offers the full benefits and features of Sage 300 People but can be accessed anywhere, anytime.
