Description

From 2021 the NSSA regularly publishes the insurable earnings ceiling to apply to the monthly contribution. 

You'll need to manually update the Method of Calculation for the contribution when the limit changes.

Resolution

Calculate the maximum ceiling limit for the contribution

  • The maximum limit by multiplying the monthly insurable earnings amount (as per the website) with 4.5%.

Adjust the NSSA Method of Calculation

  1. From your Company Listing screen, log in to your Zimbabwe company.
  2. From the Main Menu, click on Payroll, then select Definitions.
  3. Select the Methods of Calculation.
  4. Click on Change.
  5. Select the NSSA Deduction line.
  6. Select method number 2
  7. Change the maximum limit of the calculation:
    • Change The value next to If Calc Amnt is Greater than Max. of to your calculated ceiling limit value
    • Change Then Deduction must be to your calculated ceiling limit value
  8. Change the values in both Employee Deduction and Company Contribution section
  9. Click Save.
