This article will provide you with guidance on what to check if the "Next" button greyed out/inactive when installing a software update on Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier
Description
- You are on the Destination Folder screen during the installation process
- You have selected the Current / Live folder to install the update
- When you want to continue with the update installation process, the "Next" button is greyed out and inactive.
Resolution
- At the ‘Current / Live Folder’, enter the directory name of your live Payroll directory or use the Browse Button to browse to your current directory
- Once completed, click on Next. If Next is not available, you have selected an incorrect folder name to install the specific update
- Please re-choose the correct payroll system path. Click here for steps on how to locate the payroll directory path
- Also, ensure the payroll system is on the correct prior release to install the update. Refer to the Installation Notes to confirm the compatible version
- The following files are checked and must be in the VIP system folder in order to continue with the installation:
- VIPSAL.ACU
- WRUN32.EXE
- FLDPREM.Rxx (where xx denotes the base version e.g. R47 for Release 4.7)
- VERSION.STU
- UPDATE.VIP
- If any of the files are missing, there is a possibility some files are missing from the folder.
- Validate that the update is installed on the server and not on the local machine
