Processing salary increases using the Global Increases function

Summary

How to apply increases on all employee salaries using the Global Increases function on Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier.

Resolution

  1. Access your company from the Company Listing screen.
  2. Create a backup of your company before processing increases.
  3. From the Main Menu, select Payroll.
  4. Select Global Increases.
  5. Review the onscreen message and click Continue.
  6. Select Increase on the radio button. 
  7. Select the field from the dropdown list to increase:
    • Annual basic salary
    • Basic salary
    • Rate per day 
    • Rate per hour
    • Charge out rate per hour
  8. Choose the increase date. 
  9. Choose to process the increase as a percentage or a fixed amount.
  10. Enter the value fields:
    • Increase the percentage value or amount (as selected in step 5)
    • Enter the minimum amount (if applicable to the increase)
    • Enter the maximum amount (if applicable to the increase)
  11. Select to which employees the increase applies.
  12. Click Continue to process the increases.
  13. Enter the Remuneration History transaction details, then click OK.
    • The option is available for Personnel History module users only
    • Submit your details if interested to find out more
  14. Click Yes to confirm selection and apply increase.
