Summary
Sage Pastel A utility was created to remove the SDL values from 1 May to 31 August to assist any clients that have not as yet removed the SDL for the SDL Payment Holiday Period.

CAUTION: It is essential that you are on 2021 Update 2 or later and that you have done a Legislative release BEFORE using the SDL Utility. If you have not run the Legislative release, you will receive an error message when running the SDL Utility.
NOTE: The SDL Utility is specifically designed to only remove the values from May to August in the 2020 tax year to accomodate the SDL payment holiday. This utility will not be available in the 2021-2022 company, it will however be available in the Year End Company for the 2020 - 2021 tax year.
- Click on Utility
- Scroll down and click on SDL Utility
- The system will force you to make a backup, select the directory you wish to make the backup to and click on Process:

- Allow the system to complete the backup and close the backup screen once done
- The Filter screen will now appear, please ensure that all the employees whose SDL you want to remove is in the Employees To Process column (on the right hand side) and click on OK.
- The below message will appear, click on Yes:

- The system will go through a progress indicator (green bar on the bottom of the screen), please be patient and don't end the Payroll task and wait for the progress indicator to complete and the below message will now pop up:

- Click on OK. The SDL will now be made zero for the May, June, July and August period.
