Transferring employees between companies

The different transfer options available to move employees between companies in Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier Payroll.

Your payroll offers to different options to transfer employees.

Based on the similarities or differences between the companies determines the choice when transferring employees.

Transfer with year to date totals

Select this transfer option when:

• Employees will receive one tax certificate at the end of the tax year
• Both companies' have the same tax reference (PAYE) number
• Both companies have the same payroll structure, payment cycle, and processing dates

Transfer without year to date totals

Select this transfer option when:

• Employees will receive more than on tax certificate at the end of the tax year
• Companies' have the same or different tax reference (PAYE) number
• Companies' have the same or different payroll structure
• Both companies payment cycle, and processing dates
