How do I generate a new renewal code on the Sage Portal?

This article will provide guidance how to generate a new license code on the Sage Portal for Sage Classic and Sage Premier

Description

The payroll application requires a license code to allow you to work on the payroll. The license includes the registration/subscription date, modules used and the number of employees to be paid and processed on the application.

Resolution

 

Step 1: Log into the Sage Portal

  • Go to https://portal.sage.co.za/
  • On the login page, enter your Site Code (available on the Company Listing screen of your application), Primary email address and Password registered with Sage.
  • Click on Proceed to continue.

NOTE: If the system was not previously linked to a license code, the Site Code will not be available. Please refer to your latest invoice fro Sage to obtain the Site Code. 

Step 2: Select My Account

  • From the menu option, click on My Account and select Account Management

Step 3: Licence Code Generator

  • Review the Email address
  • Tick to Email Licence Code?
  • Highlight and copy the Renewal code generated
  • Click on Generate Licence Code

Step 4: Access Renewal screen on the payroll

  • Access your payroll
  • On the Company Listing Screen, click on Renewal

Step 5: Update or license system with new code

  • The Renewal screen will display the licensing of the system:
    • System type
    • SITE code
    • Maximum Employees Expiry Date
    • Licensed Tax Countries
    • Licensed Modules
  • If the system has been licensed before, the system will automatically update the new license code (when connected on the Internet)
  • If there is no code automatically updated, you can paste the code generated 
  • Click on Continue to update the license code
  • Review the After Renewal information, to confirm the license applied correctly

  • Click on Close to exit the Renewal screen
