Setting a mapped drive as a trusted site

Set a mapped drive as a trusted site in Internet Options to ensure Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier runs correctly. You need administrative rights to complete these steps.

Add your mapped network drives as trusted sites for the payroll application to run correctly.

1. Close VIP Payroll, click Search bar on the Taskbar.
2. Search for Control Panel and select to open.
3. Select Internet Options, then Security tab.
4. Click Trusted Sites, then select Sites.
5. Clear the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone checkbox.
   • If you're unable to clear the checkbox, contact your IT department
6. In Add this website to the zone, enter the mapped drive, for example, z:\.
7. Select Add.
   • Check the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path appears in the list. For example, \\server\payroll.
8. Select Close, then Apply, then OK.
9. Restart your computer.
