Set up user impersonation

How to configure user and employee impersonation settings in Sage 300 People Self Service.

Description

User impersonation allows a user or their manager to perform actions on behalf of another user or employee. Assign permissions correctly to ensure proper access. When using zones, you can select a zone for impersonation.

Resolution

  1. From the Navigation pane, expand Self Service.
  2. Expand Setup.
  3. Double-click User Impersonation and click New.
  4. Select the VIP User and Employees.
  5. Assign the required User settings permissions. 
  6. Tick Direct Report To and assign the required permissions.
  7. Click New under Employee impersonation settings.
  8. Select the employees to impersonate and assign the permissions.
  9. Select the applicable Zone and assign the permissions.
  10. Click Save.
