How to create an advance deduction definition line on Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier. Use this line when paying a salary or wage advance to an employee, before you close your payroll.
The function of a salary advance definiton is to reduce the net salary of the current period with the advance payment amount.
- Access your payroll from the Company Listing screen.
- From the Main Menu, go to Payroll, then select Definitions.
- Select Deduction Definitions.
- Select Change Mode.
- Click in the next available line to add the new definition.
- Click Close to return to the Main Menu.
- Click Yes when asked to recalculate.

Use the ACB export for special amounts to to create a payment file for your bank.
