Summary

How to create an advance deduction definition line on Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier. Use this line when paying a salary or wage advance to an employee, before you close your payroll.

Description

The function of a salary advance definiton is to reduce the net salary of the current period with the advance payment amount.

Resolution

  1. Access your payroll from the Company Listing screen.
  2. From the Main Menu, go to Payroll, then select Definitions.
  3. Select Deduction Definitions.
  4. Select Change Mode.
  5. Click in the next available line to add the new definition.
  6. Click Close to return to the Main Menu.
  7. Click Yes when asked to recalculate.

Use the ACB export for special amounts to to create a payment file for your bank.
