Bi-Annual Submission: Reinstating an employee on Maternity leave

Summary

In the incident when you need to reinstate an employee from Maternity Leave before generating their Bi-Annual certificates

Resolution

1. Click on Edit, Employee Masterfile
2. Search for the employee to be reinstated using the search magnifying glass
3. Click on the Rates tab and make a note the Termination date on the bottom right hand side.
4. Once correct Masterfile is open, Select the Reinstate icon: Image
5. Click on ‘Yes’ on the warning message to reinstate the employee
6. On the following: ‘Reinstate employee option’, Select Reinstate the employee’s current masterfile. Please note that we reinstate on the current mastefile because the employee is still active in the company but not on payroll as they have not received income for the duration of the maternity leave.
7. After reinstating the masterfile, the employee’s status will now be ‘not processed’ for the period.

NOTE: This employee will only remain not processed for the duration of creating the electronic certificates.
