How to clear the 'Invalid Format line must end with 9999' from E@syfile.
This error happens because there’s an incomplete line in your IRP5 file. It’s usually a special character—like a symbol or punctuation—that didn't export properly into the file format.
- Go to Edit then Employee Masterfile.
- Click in the text field to check for special characters like spaces, commas, or full stops.
- Remove the special character and remember to check the other text fields.
- Check these common fields:
- Surname
- Name
- Nickname
- Account Holder (on the Payment tab)
If you can't locate the spaces, send the IRP5 import file and the E@syfile error message to Log a Sage Request.
