Adding a new payroll definition

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

How to access and add payroll definitions in Sage 300 People.

Description

Sage 300 People define payroll definitions per company. The system doesn't share definitions across the database.

Each definition applies to all or selected company rules within the same company. If definitions differ per company rule, create separate definitions and name them clearly.

Resolution

  1. From the Navigation pane, expand Company Management.
  2. Double-click Payroll Definitions.
  3. Double-click the applicable definition type.
  4. Select the definition type.
  5. Click New, then select the Company.
  6. Fill in the Code, Short and Long Description.
  7. Select the Earning Type / IRP5 Code
  8. Flag the applicable option for definition such as OID, BCEA and Can Pro Rata.
  9. Click the New to link to the definition to pay run.
  10. Select the applicable Company Rule and Pay run.
  11. Save the new definition.
