Sage Pastel Payroll: Sage Connected Services is the middle man between the Self Service Website and the Payroll System it sometimes needs to be refreshed to ensure that the correct information gets processed, you will do this by stopping and starting SCS (Sage Connected Services).
CAUTION: We advise that you only stop and start the connected services when a guide or agent advises you to do so. Please allow the natural flow of information to commence. The Website synchs with the Payroll System once an hour.

Stop Sage Connected Services (SCS):
- Close down the Pastel Payroll Software
- Open your computer’s Task Manger (Press Cntr+Alt+Delete and select task manager)
- Click on the Details tab (windows 8 and 10 or the processes tab for windows 7)
- Scroll down and look for an application called SageCSClient.exe:

- Right click SageCSClient.exe and click End Task
- The below message will appear, click on End Process:

- SageCSClient.exe will now be removed from the Task Manager.
- Close the Task Manager.
Start Sage Connected Services (SCS):
- Click on the magnifying glass next to your Windows Start button.
- Start Typing in 'Start'
- Start Services will now apear in your start menu:

- Click on Start Service - there will be no pop ups and the SCS will appear on the bottom right hand side of your task bar:

- You can now open up your Pastel Payroll System and continue.
