Defining public holidays on the leave calendar

You need assistance to define Public Holidays on the leave calendar on Sage Business Cloud Payroll Professional

Description

The Calendar allows you to define which days are considered as Public Holidays, so that these days are not included in the calculation of the Leave Days Taken when process leave for the employees. The Public Holidays are displayed in blue on the Calendar.

NOTE: It is your responsibility to revise Public Holidays every year in January.

 

Resolution

The Calendar may be displayed for previous, current and future years.

Accessing the Calendar:

  • Click on Leave
  • Click on Calendar

The Calendar will start with the Current Month displayed in the top left corner. Six months are displayed at a time, e.g. May 2020  to October 2020. The buttons can be used to move to prior or future months.

If you want to view the Calendar for a specific year, click on the down arrow for the Year to View Combo box, and make the relevant selection:

To define a Public Holiday, click on the Holiday button, and then click on the respective date. The Public Holiday will be displayed in blue on the Calendar.
