You may see different Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) values on the EMP201 and UIF submission reports Sage VIP Classic and Sage VIP Premier. This usually happens when leave pay spans more than one month.
You’ll see a difference between the UIF contribution deducted for the month on the EMP201 report and the amount shown on the UIF submission report and file.
The UIF submission file includes only the maximum UIF value allowed for that month. The system carries the remaining value to the next month’s UIF submission file to the benefit of the employee.
NOTE:
The UIF submission report marks affected employees with an asterisk (*). The report explains the adjustment at the end of the document.
