How do I Terminate an Employee?

Summary

How to terminate an employee in Sage Payroll Classic.

Resolution

NOTE:

You will need to add and fill in the final payments that needs to be paid to the employee on the payslip first.

  1. Click on Payroll, then Payslip.
  2. Select the employee.
  3. Ensure that all the final amounts have been processed.
  4. Click on the End Employment button on the top right-hand side.
  5. Enter the termination date and select the reason for termination from the drop down then click OK.

NOTE:

It is possible to terminate an employee in a previous period, if you choose to do so please ensure that you have zero'd out all values in the current periods payslip.
