Summary
You need help to resolve the validation error The employee has tax without taxable remuneration on Sage VIP Classic, Sage VIP Premier and Sage200c VIP
Description
You are generating the IRP5 files for either the Annual or Interim SARS Submission and instead of creating the IRP5 files the system informs you there is mandatory information outstanding. A report will then print with a list of errors and this error is in the report.
Cause
We found this error is specifically on an employee terminated in the previous tax year, and was only paid reimbursive kilometers in the current tax year, for the previous year.
The validation does not recognise IRP5 code 3722.
The employee's tax status is on Temporary/Part-time, Directive %, PSP Company and PSP Trust.
Resolution
- The issue was resolved on Release 5.7b for Sage Classic and Premier. If your system is still on Release 5.7a, please install Release 5.7b. Click here for more details.
Work-around for versions prior to 5.7b
- The work-around if you are not able to update to 5.7b, is to exclude the employee from the submission and load a manual certificate on e@syfile
- Generate a test run on the specific employee, and when the import fails, allow the report and files to generate - this will give you the details of the certificate. C
- Correct the IRP5 code accordingly to the income given to the employee (for an allowance you can use 3713)
