ERROR: 'File: Travel Status 47,02'

Summary

How to resolve the error 'File: Travel Status 47,02' on Sage VIP Classic or Sage VIP Premier. The error appears when creating your Live Run or Test Run IRP5 files to import into the SARS software

Cause

The VPTVL file per company stores the Reimbursive travel claim transactions. The error appears when the file is damaged or missing from the system folder. 

Resolution

  1. Right-click on your desktop icon to open the payroll application.
  2. Select Open file location.
  3. Search and locate the files with the name VPTVL.
    Each South African company has this file.
  4. If the file is missing from the folder for the specific company, you have the following options:
    • Retrieve the files from the backup created before starting the new tax year
    • Take-on all the transactions
