Summary

How you add and activate the new company on the server and workstations in Sage 50cloud Pastel.

Description

When you select the option to create a new company during the year end. You’ll need to add the new company on the server and activate it on the workstations.

Resolution

Adding a Company on the Server or stand-alone:

  1. Click File and then Open.
  2. Click Add Company and then Add Company again.
  3. Double-click on the Xpress/Partner folder on the C: Drive.
  4. Browse for your new company and double-click on it.
  5. Click OK and then Close.

Activating a Company on the Workstation:

  1. Click File and then Open.
  2. Click Manage Company.
    • The new company will appear with a red cross
  3. Click the company and then Activate Company.
  4. On the first drop-down menu, look for your mapped drive.
  5. Double-Click on the Xpress/Pastel yellow folder.
  6. Double-Click on the company that you need to activate.
  7. Click OK and then Close.

  8. Your company will appear in the Open a Company screen.
  9. Highlight the company and click Open.

 NOTE: Remember to de-activate your last year company. This is to ensure you don’t accidentally post in this company.
