How to process customer adjustment in Sage Accounting.
Resolution
Individual customer adjustments
- Click Customers then Transactions.
- Select Customer Adjustments and click Add Customer Adjustment.
- Choose the Customer and Effect.
- Are you increasing or decreasing the balance
- Select the Tax type and By Affecting account.
- If you don't know which account to use, contact your accountant for guidance
- Enter a Reference and Description.
- Enter the amount and select the Date.
- In the Unpaid Invoices section, select the invoice that you want to adjust.
- Click Process.
Multiple customer adjustments
- Click Customers then Transactions.
- Select Customer Adjustments and click Quick Entry Grid.
- Choose the Date and Effect.
- Are you increasing or decreasing the balance
- Select the Customer and enter a Reference.
- Enter a Description and select a VAT type.
- Enter the amount and the By Affecting account.
- If you don't know which account to use, contact your accountant for guidance
- Click the green plus button to add another adjustment.
- Once complete click Process.
