How to process customer adjustment in Sage Accounting.

Resolution

Individual customer adjustments

  1. Click Customers then Transactions.
  2. Select Customer Adjustments and click Add Customer Adjustment.
  3. Choose the Customer and Effect.
    • Are you increasing or decreasing the balance
  4. Select the Tax type and By Affecting account.
    • If you don't know which account to use, contact your accountant for guidance
  5. Enter a Reference and Description.
  6. Enter the amount and select the Date.
  7. In the Unpaid Invoices section, select the invoice that you want to adjust.
  8. Click Process.

Multiple customer adjustments

  1. Click Customers then Transactions.
  2. Select Customer Adjustments and click Quick Entry Grid.
  3. Choose the Date and Effect.
    • Are you increasing or decreasing the balance
  4. Select the Customer and enter a Reference.
  5. Enter a Description and select a VAT type.
  6. Enter the amount and the By Affecting account.
    • If you don't know which account to use, contact your accountant for guidance
  7. Click the green plus button to add another adjustment.
  8. Once complete click Process.
