Summary
Description
This article discusses how to configure/set up agents’ passwords to expire, thereby forcing their passwords to be renewed after a predetermined period.
Your company’s policy may require that this principle be applied to all your important operational and administration (e.g. accounting, payroll, etc.) applications such as Sage Evolution and others.
In addition, your auditors may also request the same.
However, on the Administration | System Configuration | System Wizard | Security Setting screen, you may notice the following:
There is no specific setting to determine if, or how regular agents’ passwords should expire.

Resolution
Consider the following advice to achieve the above outcome:
A. Agent Administration Setting
1. Ensure all agents are logged out of the company.
2. Go to Administration | Agent Administration | Agents.
3. Find and open the first relevant agent.
4. On the Options tab, select the option marked below and select the relevant number of days. Save the change when done.

5. Repeat Steps 3-4 for the rest of the agents.
B. Active Directory
Also, note that the expiration of passwords can also be controlled via the Sage Evolution Active Directory feature.
Doing this should give you full control over your Windows user accounts' logins and passwords.
This process includes forcing users to change their Windows account passwords based on regular intervals (e.g. once a month).
As a result, you can effectively control how regular user passwords need to be renewed.
