This article discusses why there is a difference in Inventory Valuation report values between selecting the ‘Inventory Valuation By Date’ option and having it unselected.

Resolution

Consider the following advice to achieve the above outcome: 

When the above option is selected,

  • the report results are generated by a database view based on a different Evolution company database table,
  • as opposed to when the option is unselected, and
  • this different table is called _etblInvCostTracking
  • The above-mentioned VIEW is called _evInvCostTracking

When the above option is UNSELECTED, the report uses database VIEW called _bvStockAndWhseItems 

In addition, also notice the effect the Inventory | Enquiries | Valuation By Date utility has on the Inventory | Reports Valuation report. 

In essence, running the Inventory | Enquiries |  Valuation By Date utility, and clicking the Save Valuation button, directly impacts the report results of the Inventory | Reports Valuation report.
