The payroll system directory stores your system and data files. Know where to find it to install software, and it helps you resolve issues that relate to your payroll software.

Resolution

Locate the folder using Support Help

  1. Open your payroll.
  2. Select Sup Help on the Company Listing screen.
  3. Check the folder path shown at the top of the Support Help screen.

Locate the folder using File Explorer

Follow these steps on your laptop or desktop computer.
  1. Right-click the Sage Classic or Sage Premier icon.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Check the Start in field.
  4. Use the path in Start in to find the payroll directory.

EXAMPLE:

If the 'Start in' shows C:\VIP, the payroll folder name is VIP and sits on the local C: drive.
