How to export the IRP5/IT3(a) electronic certificate for your year end submissions in Sage Pastel Payroll.

Description

To export electronic certificates for Year End, be in the Year End Period. Certificates from February show Bi-Annual values.

Resolution

NOTE:

If you've rolled into the Year End period, open your copy company to generate the file.

 

  1. Click Utility...System Status and make you are in the Year End Period.
  2. Clear your Exception report.
  3. Go to View then click Statutory reports.
  4. Select IRP5/IT3a electronic certificates.
  5. On the filter screen, ensure all employee names are on the right (under "employees to process") and click OK.
  6. In the first certificate number field, enter 10000001.
    • If multiple companies in Payroll share the same PAYE number, change the first certificate number for subsequent companies
    • For Example, Company A, Company B and Company C all 3 have the same PAYE number
      - Generate Company A with a first Certificate number of 10000001
      - Company B with a first certificate number of 20000001
      - Company C with a first certificate number of 30000001

NOTE:

'Failure to differentiate certificate numbers for different companies sharing the same PAYE number will result in certificates overriding one another in e@syFile, leading to discrepancies where the totals do not balance' 

PS: Pastel Payroll Support does not support discrepancies in Easyfile 

 

  1. Select the print Status as Final Print.
  2. Select the drive you want to save it to.
  3. Select a file destination (defaults to your company directory) and make a note the location.

NOTE:

The file defaults to the Company directory in C:\Payroll. The filename is IRP5.26
