Once employee and company validations have been cleared in Sage Payroll, you can generate electronic certificates when the submission period opens.
Description
Resolution
- Revert back to the previous tax year.
- Click Tax Certificates.
The company details will pre-populate based on the Company Details entered. - Under the submission section,
- Click the drop-down of Select the tax year and select 2026
- Click the drop-down of Select the submission period and select Tax Year End
- Click the drop-down of Select a type of submission and select Live:

- Once you complete all validations, the Create Submission button will appear at the top left of your screen.

- The file name will be TYE_2026.txt, this file will save to your Downloads Folder.
- The system will now generate reports relating to your Year End. We suggest that you download or print these reports for record purposes. The reports that will generate: Tax Certificates, Reconciliation Report, EMP501, Error Report
