Turning off the Windows User Account Control
Description

When the User Account Control (UAC) is on, you will get a prompt to authorize the changes. This prompt does not work for background processes therefore the changes are automatically denied by the UAC.

For the payroll to be accessed and operate successfully you will need to ensure that the Windows User Account Control (UAC) has been turned off.

 

Cause
Resolution
  1. Type UAC in the Windows search and select Change User Account Control settings.
  2. Drag the slider down to Never notify and click OK.
  3. Confirm your selection or enter an administrator password if asked.
  4. Reboot your computer.
