| Cause | It is important that you create the IRP5 file on the correct software release. This is to ensure that the file is validated correctly by SARS e@syFile.  NOTE: Please check the SARS website for details on the latest SARS e@syFile software release.

| Resolution | For tax year-end 2023, please ensure that the payroll system is on Release 5.9b or 6.0a when creating the IRP5 import file in your Tax Year-end Instance.
