When you access Sage Payroll Professional on an Apple Macbook, you experience navigation issues or a floating keyboard appears which you can't deactivate.
Cause
This issue occurs because web technologies behave differently on browsers running on Apple CPUs and Windows CPUs. Disabling hardware acceleration in the browser can avoid this issue.
Resolution
Close the payroll application in Google Chrome.
Click the three vertical dots icon in the upper-right corner.
Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
In the menu on the left side of the window, expand the Advanced menu.
Click System.
Deactivate the switch next to Use hardware acceleration when available.
Click Relaunch to open the browser.
CAUTION:
We don’t recommend using Safari as a browser to access Sage Payroll Professional. You won't be able to activate hardware acceleration.
