Exporting a Flexi GL layout allows you to copy it from one payroll directory to another or to another system.

Step 1 - Access General Ledger Control

1. From the Main Menu, select Interfaces.
2. Select Export Control then click General Ledger.
3. On the General Ledger Control screen:
   • Ensure you set the General Ledger interface to VIP Flexi
   • The currently selected Flexi Layout will display
   • If you need a different layout, select it from the list
4. At the bottom of the screen, click Flexi.

Step 2 - Open Flexi Maintenance

1. On the General Ledger Flexi Maintenance screen, select Copy Flexi Layout from/to Interface File.
   • Other options include: Change, Delete, Create, or Exit Maintenance

Step 3 - Export the layout

1. On the General Ledger Export Layouts screen:
   • Select Extract from the Master file
   • Choose the destination folder for the interface file
   • Select the specific Flexi Layout to export
2. Click Continue.
3. A message will confirm the system has copied the layout to the interface file.
4. The system will save two files in the selected folder:
   • NEWGLX.REP
   • NEWGLX.VIX

The system now exports the Flexi GL layout and it's ready for import into another directory or system.
