It's always advisable to install the update in a new pay period, where employees have not yet been paid. This is to ensure that payroll figures do not change. The update will apply the new tax tables and force a PAYE recalculation of values, resulting in the employees nett salaries changing. If you have already paid employees and installed the update, you can choose one of the options to correct your payroll system. I have already paid my employees in this period and I would prefer to update my payroll system to the latest release - Print the EMP201 report and the Company Reconciliation report before the update
- Make a full system backup
- Install the latest update
- Update all Companies
- Print the EMP201 report and the Company Reconciliation report after the update
- Manually adjust the payslip figures to balance back to what was paid to employees on your final payroll
- The system will then recalculate the tax on rollover
